• Reading Preferences: Delivery time, timezone, book selections, reading progress

• Uploaded Content: PDFs you upload for personalized reading
• Upload Metadata: Original filename, file size, upload timestamp

We use collected information for:

• Delivering daily paragraph emails to your inbox
• Managing your account and personalizing your experience

• Improving our service and analyzing usage patterns

4. Data Sharing

• Service Providers: Supabase (database), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting)

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. PDFs are stored in Supabase Storage and are encrypted at rest.

Important: Snippetly does not scan uploaded PDFs for malware, viruses, or harmful code. Users assume all risk when uploading content.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion:

• Uploaded PDFs and associated files are deleted within 30 days
• Account data (email, preferences) is deleted within 30 days
• Anonymized usage and analytics data may be retained indefinitely
• Email delivery logs are retained for 90 days for auditing purposes
• Data may be retained longer if required by law or to respond to legal claims

7. Email Communications

You will receive daily paragraph emails as part of your subscription. You can manage email preferences or pause delivery at any time through your account settings or the one-click pause link in each email. You may also unsubscribe completely at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete it immediately.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information at any time by logging into your account
• Update or correct your information
• Delete your account and associated data (subject to legal holds)
• Withdraw consent to email communications
